Women's Basketball Coaching Staff

Interim Head Coach: Josh McLeod

Josh McLeod has been elevated to the leader of the women's basketball program for the 2021-22 season on an interim basis. McLeod brings eight years of coaching experience, ranging from grassroots, high school, and college to professional ball. McLeod is a former Triton and played for the late Hall of Fame coach Keith Kingsbury and the men's basketball program. He moved on to attend and play for Dickinson State University (N.D.) after Edmonds on scholarship.

In 2019 he served as the head assistant coach at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, WA. Lincoln finished the season as PCL champions and advanced to the WIAA 3A State Tournament, eventually losing to state champ O'Dea in the semifinals. 

In 2016 McLeod relocated to San Antonio, TX and was the head coach of the Texas Red Wolves, a professional men's team affiliated with the American Basketball Coaches Association (ABA). In their first year the program finished as conference champions and advanced to the ABA National Championship. The Red Wolves made it to the Final Four before falling to the eventual champion, the Jacksonville Giants.

McLeod was the Head Assistant Coach at the University of Puget Sound (UPS) from 2011-2013. In 2011 the Loggers were nationally ranked as high as 12th in the country, finishing 20-7 on the year. The program produced the NCAA DIII West Region Freshman of the Year.

Prior to UPS McLeod supported his alma matter as the head JV basketball coach at Kentwood High School while acting as the assistant coach for the Boys varsity program. The JV squad went 17-3 on the year with the varsity team were crowned SPSL champions, qualifying for the WIAA 4A State Tournament.

From 2019-2013 he coached grassroots basketball for Emerald City Basketball Academy in Auburn.

McLeod earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Management and currently works in talent acquisition as a Technical Recruiter for Facebook Reality Labs.
