Edmonds defeated Linn-Benton in the first round at the NWAC Tournament before losing to NWAC runner-up Pierce College.

He was named the North Region Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2002 and was recognized as the NWAC Coach of the Year in 2002.

In 2016 Miranda led the Tritons to an exciting 26-18 overall record, helping to re-emerge the program to its past prominence. Edmonds finished North league play tied for fourth place with Olympic, but defeated the Rangers in a thrilling tie-breaker, 3-2, to earn an appearance at the NWAC Tournament. In 2017 the Tritons went 27-17 and were one set away from the North Region title, losing to Bellevue 3-2 to close out the regular season. The past four years Edmonds has gone 5-6 at the championship tournament. As a head coach in the NWAC, Miranda has amassed an impressive 308-192 record (136-56 against North Region opponents) over 11 years.
