This year's commencement will be a drive-through/walk-through celebration on Friday, June 18, from 2-5 p.m at Edmonds College, in Parking Lot F. Register for the celebration today! This ceremony is open to all 2019-20 and 2020-21 GED, high school diploma, degree, BAS, and/or certificate completers. Friends and family can watch the celebration live online, while EC faculty and staff will line the route to cheer you along the way. Video links will be available on the Commencement Webpage. Graduates will pick up their caps, gowns, tassels, honor cords, prior to the event and some cool EC swag during the drive-thru event.

Family and friends can also watch the Ceremonial Video that will be available on the college’s commencement website starting at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 18, as well as watch a live-streaming of CAR’mencement starting at 2 p.m. Both videos will be archived on the website — you can watch yourself drive through later!
What to Expect Once on Campus
Traffic monitors will guide you through the course to check in. Once at check-in, we will write down some information on a card, including your name and pronunciation, which will be handed to you along with some EC Triton swag. Honor cords for those who qualify will also be distributed. You will then be directed to drive through the commencement tent where you will park, hand the card to a worker, have your name, certificate or degree announced, and get your diploma cover. After that you can slowly drive through the procession where EC President Dr. Amit Singh, along with the Board of Trustees, college leadership, and faculty and staff will cheer for you and your achievement (wave, you’ll be on camera!).
Once through the line, you will exit campus south towards 204th St. SW (Triton Way). You will have the opportunity to get a professional photo taken with GradImages in Lot G, next to the Snohomish Hall building. If you choose to do so, only the graduate can exit the car for the photo opportunity. GradImages will supply information about retrieving photos.
If you want someone from your vehicle to take your photo, one other person may exit the car with the graduate, but please wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
Drivers will exit the college on 204th St. SW (Triton Way) at the roundabout.
If you are arriving via bus, please walk towards Brier Hall to the walking entrance. If you are arriving through the entrance on 200th St. SW and 68th Ave. W, please walk towards Snoqualmie Hall and then to Brier Hall. Volunteers in traffic vests can help direct you.
Walkers will enter the route from Brier Hall and be directed to the commencement tents in Parking Lot F, through the course and back to Brier Hall where you can exit or choose to get a photo with GradImages. Please be aware of cars at all times!
