Instructor Permission to Register
As of the first day of the quarter, instructor permission is required for any class that is full or waitlisted.
To obtain instructor permission:
- Email your instructor and ask for permission to enroll in the class
- If the instructor will allow you into the class, you’ll need to send their emailed permission along with your request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Please include your full name, SID, and all information about the course, including item number. (If you can provide a registration form, please do!)
Please note: If you are blocked from registering for a class due to unmet prerequisites, you will need to provide documentation showing that you have met the prerequisites. You may do this through the Testing Center, Registration, or by contacting the instructor directly.
EdMail: You are required to use it! It is the way we communicate with you.
The college assigns all students EdMail (email) accounts within a couple of days after they register for their first class. Note: if you are a former student returning after time away from school, check with the Enrollment Services Office to confirm what email address we have on file for you. We use the address recorded in the Enrollment Services records. To gain access to your account, follow the steps at edcc.edu/edmail.
