Fall classes will be in-person, hybrid, and online

We’re looking forward to fall quarter and planning for more than half of our classes to be either in person or hybrid (a mix of in person and online). The remaining classes will be held online. Fall quarter begins on Sept. 20 and goes through Dec. 10.

Requiring vaccines fall 2021

After much consideration on the safety of our campus community and based on the governor’s current proclamation for higher education, Edmonds College will be requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for both employees and students effective fall quarter, beginning Monday, Sept. 13Visit our FAQ page to learn more.

Do you need to check out technology to study online?

To be successful, we highly recommend you complete your online studies on a laptop or desktop computer.

Effective October 4, 2021, student equipment distribution/return will be moved to the Library (Lynnwood Hall, 3rd floor). Appointments are no longer necessary to pick up student equipment.

You must be enrolled in classes to check out techonology. Enrollment will be verified.

Any questions or concerns should be sent to health@edmonds.edu. Please check Canvas and your Triton Mail often for updates from your instructor(s).

Emergency Communication:

The Triton Alert Emergency Notification System is used to notify campus and community members when there is a campus closure or emergency situation that requires evacuation or securing in place. You are automatically enrolled to receive Triton Alerts through your college email address. You may also sign up to receive text messages on your mobile devices and/or additional email notifications to your personal email address.

Need help with food, child care, housing costs, or other financial difficulties?

  • You may be eligible for food benefits. If you would like to be screened for eligibility, need assistance in completing the online application, navigating the website, or have questions, call Kama Lemay at 425.640.1909 or email kama.lemay@edmonds.edu. You can also apply online or call 1.877.501.2233.
  • The Food Pantry located in Room 244 in Brier Hall is free for all Edmonds College students and employees and offers food and limited personal hygiene items. Check the Food Pantry webpage for more details and the current schedule. Please bring your EdPass. Social distancing requirements are in place and everyone must wear a mask. 
  • Find a food bank near you through the Snohomish County Food Bank Coalition.
  • Parents, you can pick up a free, seven-day supply of breakfast and lunch for your children through the Edmonds School District Grab and Go program.
  • You can get high-quality child care on campus at the Center for Families. Financial aid and scholarships are available. Contact the center to learn more about how you can get help paying for child care: email childcare@edmonds.edu or call 425.640.1247.
  • If you're receiving federal food benefits, you can apply to the BFET program. If eligible, you may qualify for the Working Connections Child Care assistance program.

 

If you need help with housing costs or other financial difficulties, apply for the funding opportunities listed below. Each funding opportunity has a different application process and different requirements. You should apply for EVERY opportunity that you are qualified for.

Pay Online

  1. Go to the ctcLink login page
  2. Enter your ID and password, and click Sign In
  3. Click Financial Accounts tile, then select Payments
  4. Select Make a Payment
  5. Review the amount that you owe. 
  6. Specify the payment amount under Payment Amount and click on Next
  7. Confirm your payment by selecting Continue to Make Payment.
  8. Then you will be directed to the billing page. Complete each of the tabs to enter your billing information, enter payment, review and submit your payment.
  9. You have now completed a payment on your financial account.

How to order textbooks online:

  1. Go to https://edmonds.bncollege.com/shop/edcc/page/find-textbooks (it is recommended you use Google Chrome as your browser).
  2. You will be prompted to enter your schedule information.
    • Please make sure you are entering the correct section number as multiple professors for the same course could be using different materials.
  3. Click “Find Materials” when you are ready.
  4. Select your preferred format and condition (buy, rent, used, new, digital).
    • Please note unless stated otherwise that we fulfill the next available condition if we are unable to fulfill your preferred condition.
  5. Select “Add Items to Cart” when you are done.
  6. On the top right, when you are ready, select “View Cart."
  7. Click “Checkout” then proceed to Continue as Guest, Create an Account, or Login if you already have one.
  8. Once completed, enter your shipping and payment information (you can add more than one payment method if needed). We are offering FREE UPS GROUND SHIPPING FOR ORDERS OVER $75.00!
    • If using an approved voucher via a third party (this includes campus voucher and grant programs), select Student Acc Voucher, and enter your name and ctcLink ID in the appropriate fields.
    • Please note that if your order total exceeds your voucher or gift card balance and/or if you are renting a title, you will need to enter another form of payment (debit or credit card) to cover the remaining balance and/or secure your rental.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit provides a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service and up to $75 per month for households on Tribal lands. Student SERVICES

For fall quarter 2021, the Associated Students of Edmonds College (ASEC) have waived the $26.00 quarterly fee and the one-time $10.00 card fee for the EC/ORCA bus pass. This action is for fall quarter only, and the fee will return once a system is in place that is compatible with ctcLink. Follow these instructions to get your pass.

In-person computer labs are available in Alderwood hall. Log in using your Triton ID. Virtual computer labs are also available.

Staying home helps to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but for many survivors of domestic violence, staying home may jeopardize their safety. Students must have a current college ID (EdPass) to receive a parking permit. Parking permits are now required while parking on campus at any time.

Parking passes are mainly available by appointment. Student parking permits for the 2021-2022 year are pink in color.

To make an appointment, please fill out the Security Appointment Request Form.

Carpool permits are available in the Security Office. You can fill an application in the Security Office or print one here.

Parking passes will also be available in person Sept. 13-24 in Snohomish Hall during EdPass distribution.

There are many ways to get the tutoring that works best for you and your schedule this quarter! We have tutors available to chat live with you over video as well as ways for you to receive emailed/written answers to questions.

Our Worker Retraining Program, in partnership with the Employment Security Department, can help you upgrade your skills or train for a new job. We provide advising, financial assistance, and other resources.

You may apply for unemployment through the Employment Security Department. The department has programs designed to help people affected by COVID-19.

Free WiFi hotspots are available throughout the state. Find one near you through the Washington State location finder.

You may be eligible for a $50-75 discount toward broadband service and a $100 discount toward the purchase of a computer, laptop, or tablet through the Emergency Broadband Benefit program

  • Crisis Connections provides many resources and support for anxiety, loneliness, recovery, and more. Language interpretation in more than 155 languages is available. Call 866-427-4747 or text HOME to 741741 for support.  
  • SAMHSA Disaster Distress Helpline provides trained counselors and support for stress, anxiety, and more. Support available 24/7, 365 days a year. Call 1-800-985-5990 or text TalkWithUS to 66746. Spanish-speakers can call the hotline and press "2" for bilingual support. Interpreters are available for 100 other languages.  
  • The Boys Town National Hotline is a free resource and counseling service that assists youth and parents 24/7, year round, nationwide. Spanish-speaking counselors and translation services for more than 100 languages also are available 24 hours a day. Call 1-800-448-3000, text VOICE to 20121, or email hotline@boystown.org to connect. 
  • King County's Department of Community and Human Services provides publicly funded mental health and substance use services to low-income people in need.

Call 2-1-1 or visit or visit wa211.org to find information about employment, financial services, health care, transportation, housing, and more. The 2-1-1 Community Resource Advocate (CRA) is bilingual in English and Spanish and serves as a single point of contact for South Snohomish community members to learn about various college and community resources and assistance via phone and one on one meetings with students and community members. Resources include domestic violence, emergency shelter, clothing, legal aid, support groups, transportation, education, financial stability, health, and more.
