Kevin Hughes has been playing guitar for over 50 years, and has taught privately for over 30. He has been the Associate Faculty Guitar Instructor at Edmonds College since 1999, and has done numerous Summer Workshops in the United States and internationally. A number of major manufacturers have him also on their Artist Rosters. After playing in a succession of bands in the Seattle area, one of which gave him the opportunity to open the show at Farm Aid in Iowa in 1993, he dropped out of the band scene to focus specifically on teaching.
Kevin’s Mission Statement for Teaching is to build a student’s guitar skills and music theory knowledge to enable a student to make years worth of progress occur in the shortest time possible, while having a great time during the process.
Instructing musicians who choose the guitar as their instrument of choice is his mission.
