Whether you are a student or alum, you want a meaningful career. Employers want talented
candidates. The Edmonds College Career Action Center helps bring you and employers
together.
The Career Action Center is a free resource for you. We offer individualized job search
coaching, resume critiques, job interview coaching, and access to jobs and internships
through Handshake. We also offer opportunities to engage with employers looking to
recruit you.
Whether you are seeking your first job, considering a career change, or simply exploring
your options, we meet you where you are and help you make the most of your Edmonds
education as you pursue your personal and professional goals.
If you are unsure where to begin your job search, we offer job search coaching to
help you clarify your goals, interests, and potential career paths. Sessions may include
interest or personality inventories, guided questions, and practical strategies to
help you identify the next steps that align with your values and priorities.
We offer resume critiques to help you present a clear, focused, and compelling career
story. Feedback addresses structure, content, and impact while helping you tailor
your resume to the opportunities you are pursuing and optimize it for Applicant Tracking
Systems (ATS), which many employers use to screen applications.
We offer job interview coaching to help you prepare for common questions and understand
employer expectations. Sessions focus on developing clear, confident responses using
the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) framework while highlighting the strengths,
experiences, and qualifications that make you a strong candidate.
We offer salary negotiation coaching to help you evaluate offers and advocate for
your skills, experience, and professional value. Sessions may include researching
market rates, identifying factors to consider when assessing an offer, and developing
strategies for confidently discussing salary and other aspects of a compensation package.
Handshake connects you with millions of employers across Washington and the United
States, including all Fortune 500 companies. Through Handshake, the Career Action
