Deadline for submitting arts and crafts items for annual Holiday Craft Village is Oct. 25

Holiday Craft Village 2012

More than $2,300 was raised at the 2012 holiday event.

10/9/13

Tap into your inner artist while supporting students this holiday season. Needed are those who are interested in providing arts and craft items for the eighth annual Holiday Craft Village.

The event is designed to showcase the talents of our students, alumni, and employees — and their families — while supporting the Edmonds CC Foundation.

Twenty-five percent of the revenue will be donated to the Foundation to fund grants, scholarships, and emergency funds, with the remainder going to the artist for each item sold.

Artists are not required to supervise their tables.

The deadline for artists to pay a registration fee is Oct. 25, which will reserve a table. Artists will still be allowed to register after that date if space is available.

Here are more ways to contribute:

  • Create and sell handmade items. View a slideshow from last year's event.
  • Donate handmade items for sale (100 percent donation to the Foundation)
  • Donate raffle items, such as a gift certificate for a homemade food item, main dish, or dessert; any home decor item in excellent condition; a time share vacation stay; and other creative ideas.

There will be unique gifts, stocking stuffers, and gifts for co-workers, and more, for purchase at fair prices.

The event, which last year raised $2,313, will be held 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, on campus in Woodway 202. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Volunteers are also needed to set up and take down the event and for assisting with the raffle and door-prize tables.

Donations will be collected in Clearview 120. Call Barbara Pardo, program coordinator for the LiveWell program, at 425.640.1085.
