Learn Reiki, self-healing master, at ULearn on July 25
06/26/2009Learn about the history of Reiki, its benefits, and how it differs from other kinds of healing. Kathy Heffernan, a Reiki master teacher and hospital spiritual counselor, teaches the class. The foundation workshop shows how to begin a Reiki practice and teaches how to use the hand positions for self-healing.
Heffernan has been a Reiki practitioner since 2000 working in hospitals. She established Tree of Life Reiki Training Institute in 2005, to train Reiki practitioners for hospital and hospice settings.
She has developed a hospital internship program for Reiki students and integrates Reiki with the spiritual care she provides as a hospital spiritual counselor. The cost of the uLearn Reiki workshop is $250.
ULearn offers classes to help individuals acquire skills and knowledge and to pursue their passions and interests. Recent classes have included: Spanish for Beginners, Writing Memoirs, Clear Your Clutter and Inhabit Your Life, Anger Management, and Investment Basics.
