Lecture series: Minh Carrico talks about Vietnam, Circles of Identity

This spring, Edmonds College’s lecture series focuses on political and environmental issues. The series is free and open to the public.

Visual communications instructor and photographer Minh Carrico gives a talk, “Vietnam, Circles of Identity,” 12:30 p.m., Wed., May 13 in the Black Box Theatre, sharing his travels and reflections on Vietnam today.

  • Biology instructor Hans Landel talks about his volunteer work with the Philippine Eagle Foundation, working to save one of the world’s largest eagles, 12:30 p.m., Thurs., May 14, Snohomish Hall 304A. There are only about 400 of the birds left in the wild.
  • Journalist Lisa Margonelli, gives a talk, “Oil on the Brain,”12:30 p.m., Thurs., May 21 in the Black Box Theatre. She recently published a book on the subject, "Oil On the Brain: Petroleum's Long Strange Trip to Your Tank."
