Accounting instructor Sophia Ju has published an article on ethics in the Jan./Feb. 2009 issue of the Journal of Business Case Studies from the Clute Institute for Academic Research.
Ju co-authored “Healthsouth Corporation: The First Case Against a Company Under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act” with Zhemin Wang of the University of Wisconsin and Zhijun Lin of Hong Kong Baptist University.
The article discusses accounting ethics and what happens when executives overstate their company’s financial picture. Ju researched the companies involved in the case and their history of financial reporting.
