Community and technical college board to meet December 1-2

11/29/2010
The Board will discuss how the community and technical college system’s Efficiency Study and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project are promoting new ways of collaborating in the college system to focus system resources on teaching, learning, and student success. The Efficiency Study is the first deliverable to the Legislature as required by ESSB 6359. The ERP project focuses on integrating system-wide computer, administrative, and business functions into a single state-wide system.

During the two-day meeting, a student panel will discuss their 2011 legislative agenda with Board members. The Board will also consider approving the Efficiency Study Preliminary Report to the Legislature and a Needs and Requirements Assessment contract that will support the first phase of the ERP implementation.

Lyle Quasim, Bates Technical College president, will give a host college presentation on Dec. 2.

The Board will join Bates trustees, presidents and staff for dinner at 5:30 p.m., Dec. 1 in the Bates Main Building, Auditorium.

Except for executive sessions, all meetings are open to the public and will be held at Bates Technical College, Main Building, Clyde Hupp Board Room (Room 133), 1101 Yakima Avenue, Tacoma.
