About BizArt: The annual BizArt Conference is an opportunity for artists to gather important information about the business of being an artist. Artists, arts program administrators and other professionals in the creative industry will offer workshops in visual, literary and performing arts disciplines, as well as sessions regarding copyright, accounting, publishing, producing, exhibiting and recording.

This year BizArt will offer more networking time to chat with peers, presenters and speakers, as well as short, one-to-one portfolio/work sample review meetings with professionals in the art business. General session panels will discuss the notion of adaptability in the face of new circumstances; creative thinkers who offer insight into the upside of change and the positive charge that comes from grabbing onto an opportunity, however it presents itself.

The keynote address will be "Don't Go Solo: How to Enlist a Village to Help Create and Promote Your Work" by Gigi Rosenberg, author of “Artists’ Guide to Grant Writing.” The theme of the conference is "The Alchemy of Adaptability."

BizArt, the Business of Being an Artist annual conference is a program of Edmonds College ArtsNow/uLearn non-credit programs for lifelong learning opportunities. BizArt is presented with funding support from Self Employment in the Arts (coordinated by the North Central College, Naperville, IL) and Edmonds College's Arts, Culture & Civic Engagement.
