TRITON STRONG: CIARA'S INSPIRING SOFTBALL COMEBACK

We are cheering on our incredible softball player, Ciara Inovejas! After a challenging journey including a brain tumor diagnosis, and memory loss; Ciara's love for softball has fueled an inspiring return to the field.

Despite past struggles with anxiety, a significant health battle, and 13 years of memories gone, Ciara's spirit and passion for the game remain strong. When Ciara learned she had one year of eligibility left on our softball team, she reached out to her old friend, and Edmonds coach, Antoinette Wilson. 

"I remember I really love softball. Can I come play again?" Ciara remembers crying when Antoinette welcomed her back to the team for one final year on the field.

“Her return has deeply impacted our team.” Antoinette notes, "she lights a good fire on this team and really inspires every single person on this team."

Ciara's gratitude for this second chance is evident: "Just being very grateful that I'm here, playing with my friends one last time and just having a good time." 

 Her story is a true testament to resilience and the power of pursuing what you love.
