About Our College

Requests for Public Records

For the health and safety of our community, all college offices have moved services online through March 19, pending further announcements. While we have moved to temporary remote operations public records requests can only be received by our records request form or through our records email at records@edcc.edu.

In 1972, Washington enacted the Public Records Act (RCW 42.56) to assure citizens of the state transparency and access to government. As a state agency, Edmonds College is subject to the provisions of the Washington state public disclosure laws governing access to public records and will respond accordingly.

There may be exemptions to disclosure that prohibit the college from releasing certain documents. In cases where an exemption exists, the college will provide a brief explanation to the requestor of the reason for the exemption.

Edmonds College’s full public records policy is established in 132Y-320 WAC.
