One Big Beautiful Bill Act Info
Working Families Tax Cut Act (also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act) was signed into law on July 4, 2025. For students, families, and institutions like Edmonds College, this bill is significant because it changes some rules related to the federal aid (Title IV) programs. For example, the bill:
- Changes some rules for determining Pell Grant eligibility
- Introduces new eligibility criteria and reporting requirements that could affect how
aid is awarded and maintained
- Quarterly Loan limits are based the number of credits you take.
- Annual Loan Limits are prorated are based the number of credits you take each quarter.
