I would recommend Edmonds College and the BSTEC/HCA to any student (national or international). I went back to school at Edmonds College in 2016, 20 years after I achieved my bachelor's degree in my home country of Venezuela. I was nervous at first, but the welcoming environment of Edmonds College along with the experienced professionals that I had as my instructors soon made me feel more secure and like I had been a student there for a long time. I will always cherish all the opportunities that Edmonds College provided me to become a better professional and person.

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Certificate

The classes I took were presented well and encouraged me to think, practice, and learn how to explore my new field. As a student returning to school for a midlife career change, I was impressed to see how teaching has changed since I graduated from college in the nineties. My instructors helped me feel like I would be able to succeed in the asynchronous online environment during the pandemic. The program helped me pass my certification exam on the first try and get a job in my new field within 6 months of finishing.
