Our Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program is a 2 + 2 model. Your first two years
are completed by earning the Associate in Applied Science-Transfer (AAS-T) degree,
which then seamlessly transfers into the final two years of bachelor's-level coursework
(totaling 180 credits).
If you are working on your AAS-T degree at Edmonds College, you have two distinct
entry points into the BAS program: regular admissions or conditional early admissions.
Both utilize the same application process and deadlines. The difference is your time
in the BAS program and prerequisite course deadlines.
Option 1: Regular Admissions
You are on this pathway if you have completed the program prerequisites and all or
most of your AAS-T degree. You would enter the BHSS cohort the year that you apply.
For example, if you apply in 2026, you would start the BHSS classes in fall 2026.
You are on a two-year pathway. A full-time schedule for you would look similar to
the one below:
Year One

BHSS 310 - Law and Ethics in Behavioral Health (5 credits)

Option 2: Conditional Early Admissions
You are on this pathway if you have completed around half of an approved AAS-T degree
and have a plan to complete the BHSS prerequisites the quarter prior to entering the
BHSS cohort. For example, if you are applying for fall 2026, you will spend a year
completing your AAS-T and prerequisite courses. You would start the BHSS classes in
fall 2027. Starting on time with your assigned cohort is conditional on your prerequisites
being completed by the end of summer 2027.
You would be on a three-year pathway. A full-time schedule for you would look similar
to the one below. For the purposes of this example, you would be completing your Addiction
Studies AAS-T. Note: Other AAS-Ts that can utilize this pathway are Social and Human Services and
