Grow your business this winter: QuickBooks, Google Basics, Data Warehousing classes

Here are some of the upcoming winter classes:

Small Farm Management, Horticulture 255, Wednesdays, 6-8:50 p.m., Jan. 13-March 10. This class teaches innovation and marketing techniques for agricultural entrepreneurs and small farmers. The instructor is Linda Neunzig of Ninety Farms in Arlington, Wash. The last day to register for this class is Jan. 15. Three credits. $241.80 plus admission and student fees. Introduction to Sustainable Development, Geography 150, online. Examine the policy alternatives relating to the sustainability of resources. Learn about natural resources, rural development, energy, transportation, housing, global trade, and the environment. The class is part of the college’s new Restoration Horticulture degree program. Google Basics, BSTEC 198, Monday through Thursdays, 12:30-1:40 p.m.. Learn the basics of Google’s Core Features: Google Mail, Google Maps, Google Docs and Google Calendar. In this two-week course, learn how to communicate with Gmail (EdMail), how to use Google Calendar and Google Docs features, and how to navigate with Google Maps. One credit. $80.60 plus admission and student fees.

QuickBooks for Beginners, Accounting 155, Tuesdays, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Jan. 5-Feb. 16. Learn the basic accounting function in QuickBooks. The last day to register for this class is Jan. 12. E-Marketing, Business Management 240, online. Learn how to combine fundamental marketing principles with Internet technology to build profitable customer relationships. Five credits. $448.65 plus admission and student fees. For more information email instructor Jeff Ward at jeff.ward@edmonds.edu.

Data Warehousing Fundamentals, Computer Information Systems, 256, online. For both business and information technology professionals, this class offers an inexpensive way to prepare for the CDMP or CBIP Data Warehousing Exam or to train project team members for a data warehousing project.
