At the open house, professional project managers, including representatives from the Project Management Institute (PMI), the leading membership association for the profession, will be on hand to answer questions about project management certification and the college’s Project Management Certificate program.

Edmonds CC’s Project Management Certificate, part of the college’s Business Management program, teaches valuable skills and can be completed in less than a year. Effective project managers are in demand by employers. Edmonds CC’s certificate program provides practical knowledge and experience that can be applied across various industries. Specializations include: event planning, business information management, database theory and design, and system analysis. Classes are offered day, evening, and online.

The college’s certificate program is an industry-recognized credential. In addition, Edmonds CC is a Registered Education Provider with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Edmonds CC students may take classes to prepare for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) or Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM®) certifications from the PMI. The certifications recognize career development and commitment to professional project management.

Learn more about the steps to earn these certifications at the open house. Guest speakers will also be making presentations on how networking with other project management professionals via social media is improving project management communications and techniques.
