Admission to “An Intimate Evening With Peter Eldridge (of New York Voices) with Soundsation” is a $7 suggested donation for the public, free for Edmonds CC students. All proceeds benefit music scholarships.

In addition to being a founding member of New York Voices, Eldridge has released four solo CDs and has been head of the jazz voice faculty at Manhattan School of Music since 1993. Among the musicians Eldridge has performed with or written music for are Jane Monheit, Ivan Lins, Kurt Elling, Bobby McFerrin, George Benson, David Byrne, Joshua Redman, and Jim Hall.

Over the years, Soundsation graduates have gone on to become leaders in vocal jazz education and professional performance, including in groups such as the Four Freshmen, the Ritz, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and others.

Soundsation has performed with Jack Jones, Carol Sloane, Duffy Jackson, the Kevin Mahogany Quartet, Jon Hendricks, and the Curtis Stigers Quartet, among others.

Soundsation, led by Edmonds CC choir director Kirk Marcy, records a CD each spring.
