Clean out your clutter, feed your community: Edmonds College hosts E-Waste event on March 14

Edmonds College will host an electronics recycling, paper shredding, and food pantry donation event open to the public from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. This one-stop drive-thru event allows community members to responsibly dispose of electronics, securely shred sensitive documents, and support the Edmonds College Food Pantry

The event will be held on the Edmonds College campus in parking lots E and F. Attendees should enter via 68th Ave. W and 200th St. SW; directional signs will be posted to guide traffic.

Electronics Recycling: What’s Free vs. Fee

Through a partnership with E-Waste, LLC, guests can recycle most major personal electronics at no cost.

  • FREE Items: Computers, laptops, monitors, TVs, cell phones, game consoles, and tablets.
  • $5 Service Fee: Printers, VCRs, stereos, DVD players, speakers, and other small household electronics.
  • Note: Styrofoam will not be accepted at this event.

Secure Document Shredding

To help prevent identity theft, professional shredding stations will be on-site.

  • Limit: Up to four file boxes of paper per household.
  • Capacity: This service is first-come, first-served and will conclude once the shredding truck reaches maximum capacity.
