Campus Green Fund

The Campus Green Fund, funded by the Associated Students' Sustainability Fee, provides resources to further the Sustainability Initiative on campus with awards to students, staff, and faculty for projects that model environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable practices in the campus community.

2026-27 Campus Green Fund Awards

This year the Campus Green Fund awarded $48,926.00 in funds to the following projects.

Campus Community Farm & Cultural Kitchen - $17,000

The Campus Community Farm and q’wәld’ali (Place of the Cooking Fire) Cultural Kitchen started in 2012 as a joint effort between Horticulture, Anthropology, Energy Management, Construction, Sustainability Council, Green Team, Service Learning, ODET and Farmer Frog to bring the Edmonds College community direct access to sustainable living practices and improve an under-utilized space. The farm’s primary mission is to grow food that is provided to the Campus Food Pantry; however, the site is also an amazing resource for students. The farm is a site for classes to study and research, and there are ample service learning opportunities for students.

Food Pantry Growth and Sustainability - $22,926

The Edmonds College Food Pantry requests funding to provide students and employees with access to fresh fruits and vegetables, pantry staples, wholesome canned foods, daily hygiene items and more. With support like the Campus Green Fund, the Food Pantry can ensure that patrons can receive the weekly support they need at no cost to them.

Water bottle Station for Mukilteo Hall - $9,000

The purpose of this grant is to fund converting a drinking fountain to include a water filling station in MUK on the first floor across from the Black Box Theater. This will provide access for the faculty, staff, student, and wider community to be able to fill their water bottles as it is difficult to fill the water bottles through the drinking fountain, encouraging reusable water bottle filling instead of purchasing.
