Job Opening: Men's Soccer Head Coach

Edmonds College (EdCC), a member of the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC), is seeking a head coach to lead the college's intercollegiate men's soccer program. Responsibilities will include: recruiting academically and athletically eligible athletes; assisting in the development of schedules, travel arrangements, and necessary arrangements for home contests; assisting with preparation of the ASEC budget request; operating program within budget limits; inventory and maintenance of all sports equipment and uniforms; field maintenance as needed; following proper purchasing procedures as required by the State of Washington and described by the college business office; driving college vans to games; organizing camps and clinics; fundraising for program; running team study hall; initializing grade checks, ensuring academic progress for student-athletes and more.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school, college, or related coaching experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of soccer strategy and coaching procedures.
  • Coaching Licenses from certified organizations (USSF, NSCAA, etc.)
  • Understanding of Northwest Athletic Association (NWAC) codes and policies.

Physical Work Environment:

Work is typically performed on the playing field/indoor facility. Duties require standing/walking for long periods of time, the ability to demonstrate techniques associated with the sport, and lifting materials in excess of 25 pounds. The ability to communicate clearly is essential. Personal transportation is needed to travel to meetings and for scouting talent. This position also requires driving a college van to games.

Compensation:

Yearly coaching stipend of $5,500-$6,500.
