Advance Professionally

Graduates are expected, within a few years of graduation, to assume positions with greater technical, operational, supervisory, or project-related responsibility in advanced manufacturing and related industries.

Contribute to manufacturing performance

Graduates are expected, within a few years of graduation, to contribute to quality, safety, productivity, operations, and continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.

Grow in leadership and collaboration

Graduates are expected, within a few years of graduation, to demonstrate increased effectiveness in teamwork, communication, project coordination, and broader professional responsibility.

Continue professional development

Graduates are expected, within a few years of graduation, to continue their professional development through certifications, expanded re-
sponsibilities, industry engagement, further education, or other career growth opportunities.

Student Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate the ability to design systems, components, and/or processes using advanced
    materials and current technology in a variety of different manufacturing industries.
  2. Apply the principles of quality and safety to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes in a manufacturing
    environment.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to utilize and apply basic scientific principles of science, mathematics, engineering, and technology to solve broadly defined advanced manufacturing problems.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature; and to effectively apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly defined technical and non-technical environments.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to function and contribute as a member as well as a leader on technical teams in a diverse environment.
