Classes available for children ages 4-32 months old as of September 1, 2024.

We enroll on a first-come, first-served basis, and you can join at any time if space allows. Please click on the link above for the online registration form.
Our classes are based on age/date of birth. Please see the information below for what class your child would fit in.

Our program is designed to benefit children and their adults
Our infant and toddler programs involve a two-hour class, one day per week, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sessions run for ten weeks during Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters. Returning families receive priority registration for the following quarter.
Fall 2025
Open enrollment for Fall quarter will begin Monday, May 19. The Fall quarter will start the week of September 22, 2025. Please see the age ranges/class choices below. We are excited to offer a couple new options in the Fall! The 2025-2026 fee will be $184.60 ($145 class fee + $39.60 college tuition). All classes run 9:30-11:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

- Monday - DOB January 2023 - November 2023
- Tuesday Multi Age - DOB March 2023 - January 2024 (Younger siblings with birthdates after January 2024 are allowed to enroll in this class as well. Note that children 6 months and under need to be worn in a carrier. Younger siblings older than 6 months will be charged the sibling fee of $95, siblings younger than 6 months will be charged the $25 infant fee.)
- Wednesday 1 - DOB September 2023 - August 2024 (This class will run 9-11 a.m.)
- Wednesday 2 - DOB May 2023 - April 2024 (This class will run 11 a.m.-1 p.m.)
- Thursday - DOB January 2024 - December 2024
- Friday - DOB September 2024 - May 2025
Play-based classroom for infant/toddlers
- Child and caregiver attend class together
- Children of similar age range attend the same class
- Activities and lessons provided by highly qualified teachers
- Developmentally appropriate instruction, activities and toys
- Active play provides for developing motor, cognitive and language skills
- Open play time, parent education discussion, music and movement, snack and outdoor time
- Parents participate and learn to guide developmentally appropriate play
Parent Education instruction
- Discussion groups with other parents of similar age children in the same classroom as the children
- Topics related to child development and current best practice in parenting approaches
- One on one access to parent education and coaching by college instructor
Fun Activities in the Classroom
- Painting
- Bubbles
- Sensory table (water, rice, other materials to explore)
- Cars, trucks, ramps
- Play-doh
- Pretend play area
- Books
- Puzzles
- Toddler ramp, stairs and climber
- Singing and movement during circle time

Class Schedule Disruptions
If Edmonds College cancels classes because of inclement weather, The Family Life Education Department Infant/Toddler Classes will be canceled, and classes will not be rescheduled.
If Edmonds School District closes due to weather or power outages call 425.640.1247 (Center for Families Reception desk) for more information.
If Edmonds School District is running late, the Family Life Education Department Infant/Toddler Classes will begin as scheduled. It is understood some parents may arrive late due to delayed school start for school age children.
