Edmonds College – Proctoring Make-Up Tests

Occasionally, a student may be unable to take a test at the scheduled class time because of an illness or some other unavoidable conflict. Under these circumstances, the instructor may use the Testing and Assessment Services (TAS) to administer the test by filling out and submitting the "Proctored Tests for Online Classes/Make-up Test" Request form to our office and providing them with a hard copy of the exam.

INSTRUCTOR – How to schedule a test

Please follow the following steps to schedule a make-up test for one of your student(s).

  1. Coordinate the test schedule and directions with the student(s).
  2. Complete and submit the "Proctored Tests for Online Classes/Make-up Test" Request form with the test materials to the Testing and Assessment Services, preferably 24-48 hours before the scheduled test. You have two options for submitting this form:
    1. You can complete the request form, attach it to the test(s), and bring it to our office (or send it to us via campus mail).
    2. You can email the exam to our Print and Mail Center and ask them to put it in our campus mailbox.
  3. Please email us the test instructions and student names so we know to check our campus mailbox. The Testing and Assessment Services will not make a hard copy of the exam if instructors submit it in electronic format.
  4. TAS staff administers and collects exams, while the instructors handle all other logistics.
