Remote Operations and ctcLink Transition Impact

Due to remote operations and the transition to ctcLink, all services are delayed. The Credentials and Evaluation Team is working with IT and other departments to address this situation. This includes building-up and stabilizing the Academic Advisement Report tool in ctcLink. We are working with other teams on campus to address the situation; however, it will take time. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I’m ready to graduate?

Work with the Advising Department and tools such as Degree Audit to see if you are ready to graduate! Degree Audit is an online advising tool that allows you to view degree and certificate requirements and track your progress toward completion of your chosen degree or certificate. Note: Final approval of degree or certificate requirements resides with the credentials evaluators.

When do I submit my Graduation Application?

Apply as soon as you have registered for your final courses. You must apply for graduation to have your degree or certificate posted to your transcript and receive your diploma. Find out more about the graduation application process. Please watch for ctcLink related updates to this process!

How long will it take for my degree or certificate to show up on my transcript?

Traditionally, degrees and certificates are posted to transcripts at least six to eight weeks after final grades are officially posted at the end of a quarter. However, remote operations and ctcLink updates have extended this timeframe to at least ten to twelve weeks. Unique situations may add additional delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

I graduated and the degree/certificate shows up on my transcript. Now what?

An email will be sent to your EdMail (official student email) account announcing the days and times that diplomas may be picked up in person. If not picked up, they will be mailed to the address that we have on file.

I need an official transcript that shows my degree. How long will that take?

Find information about ordering your official transcript. Please indicate that you want your transcript to show your degree. Reach out to the Transcripts Department regarding fulfillment time.

How do I get a re-print of my diploma?

To request a copy of your diploma, print and complete the diploma reprint request form, contact the College Cashier at 425.640.1563 to pay the reprint fee. Email the completed form to credentials@edcc.edu. If email is unavailable, you may mail to the below address; however, it will be further delayed due to remote operations:

I missed the deadline. Can I still apply for graduation?

Yes, apply now! Applications are processed in the order received. Applicants who meet the priority deadline are processed first. For the current priority deadlines, see the Academic Calendar.

Will I be notified if I didn't graduate?

If you fail to meet all of your program requirements, or you are missing a necessary verification form you will be notified via EdMail; it is the official means of communication between Edmonds College and our students. However, if you do not pass or you withdraw from a class, you will not be notified.

Do I need a Transcript Evaluation?

Did you earn college level credits at a technical school, college or university? Do you want those credits to apply toward a certificate or degree? Then yes, you likely do! Find out more about transcript evaluation.

What's the difference between graduation and commencement?

Graduation is the process you go through to have your degree posted to your transcript. Commencement is an annual ceremony (held in June) where we honor your academic accomplishments.

Who can participate in Commencement?

If you are completing Edmonds College degrees and/or certificates – excluding certificates of completion (COCs) – you can participate. If you will complete a degree or certificate summer quarter, you can participate in the commencement ceremony prior to your graduation. To do so, apply for graduation during spring quarter.

Please note: If you miss the spring quarter priority application deadline it is possible your name may not be included in the commencement program.
