C.U.R.E. Coaches
Join the Course-based Undergraduate Research (CURE) Coach program to gain experiential learning, where you will be mentored as you develop advanced research and student mentorship skills. The experiential learning program offers a stipend to remove financial barriers and allows you to fully engage in this learning experience regardless of financial barriers that might otherwise be unavailable. This is not compensation for hours worked, but rather financial support provided upon the successful completion and demonstration of learning outcomes.
Qualifications
- You are STEM or Social Science major.
- You have taken a Course-based Undergraduate Research course.
Time Requirements
Cohorts will run over eight (8) weeks and you should expect to spend approximately 10 hours per week on CURE Coach related activities.
Stipend & Learning Outcomes
- Up to 9 participants per quarter.
- Estimated time commitment to demonstrate competency, including workshops: 10 hours/week.
- 8 weeks.
- Stipend Award Potential: $1200/quarter.
Stipend Award Criteria
The CURE Coach is eligible to receive the full stipend amount contingent upon successful completion of the Experiential Learning Outcomes. The stipend will be prorated according to participation.
In order to receive the full stipend, the CURE Coach will demonstrate competency with following roles by the end of their CURE Coach experience. The CURE Coach earns portions of the stipend by successfully meeting the following learning milestones:

Students interested in becoming a CURE Coach that meet the above qualifications should fill out the CURE Coach Application. Applications will be reviewed as positions in the CURE Coach Program become available. After you apply, you will be contacted directly for next steps.
