Can't find your class?

Sometimes finding the right class in the registration system is as simple as knowing the course number. Use the Common Course Numbering Information and Course List to help.

Choosing the correct English Class

  • AENGL (Academic English) - for advanced English Language learners who need pre-college coursework in reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
  • ENGL - Includes college-level literature and creative writing courses that transfer as general English credit.
  • ENGL& - Includes college-level composition and literature courses that have a one-to-one equivalency at receiving transfer institutions.
  • ENGLP (English Prep) - bridges the gap between where your academic skills are now and where you will need them to be in order to succeed in college. The English Prep Department offers a sequence of courses that are a perfect way to brush up on your skills – whether you plan to attend college in the future or are currently taking college courses.
