Programming and Events

The Wellness Center provides free programming throughout the academic year. We also partner with other campus departments to bring you relevant events and services.

We love hearing suggestions about specific events you would like to see on campus (in-person or online). For suggestions or questions about programming, please contact Diana Chernisky (diana.chernisky@edmonds.edu or 425.640.1718).

In addition to these events, we you can also access a variety of services through the Wellness Center.

A supportive and private space to connect international students and learn about mental health topics.

Topics may include:

  • Share experiences on your journey in the United States
  • Explore connections between adjustment and cultural stress
  • Build a support network
  • Learn tips to manage stress, anxiety and other concerns

Some topics we plan to cover are American Culture and Cultural Stress, Understanding the American University system (and other systems), Anxiety and Stress Management, Dating and Relationships, and more.

Our group will gather every Tuesday, starting May 17th through August 16th, from 11:30am - 12:30pm.

This is an open group so any international student can join for any session. Our sessions for spring quarter will be on Zoom and hoping to have the sessions for summer quarter in person!

A safe and confidential small group setting to discuss changes in your relationship(s), process a breakup, and find support together

Discussion topics may include include:

  • Process hurt, anger, grief, and loss
  • Examine healthy boundaries in relationships
  • Navigate the gray area of redefining the relationship
  • Build a support network
  • Self-care
