"I studied abroad in Italy and England during college and lived in New Zealand for a year after graduating. Those experiences shaped how I see the world and made me passionate about creating opportunities for current students to have similarly transformational experiences at Edmonds College! I am proud of the work OIP does to support international students studying in the United States, assisting students in studying abroad, and creating global opportunities on campus for the entire Edmonds community.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree from Meredith College in North Carolina and a Masters in International Education from the School for International Training in Vermont. Outside of work I enjoy traveling, reading, writing, and working in the garden."

"I came to Edmonds as an international student in 2016. I had a great time here as a student. Ever since I was a student, I wanted to work for OIP. When I was new and lost, OIP helped me and guided me in the right direction. This office radiates positivity and promotes diversity, and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the team. I got my bachelor's in business administration from University of Washington Bothell. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, travelling to new places, and watching interesting movies."

"My main responsibilities in OIP include advising students who transfer to four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. and designing a meaningful transfer plan while helping them understand their transfer options. I help students choose courses for admission and completion of an associate degree. I especially enjoy seeing students succeed with their transfer plan. As a lifelong learner, I love traveling and learning from different cultures. In the Philippines where I was born and raised, I was awarded fellowships and scholarships to study in Italy, Sweden, and Israel."

"The very best part of my job at Edmonds College is helping international students. Every day, students teach me something new about our world! I feel like my office is the globe. Specifically, I advise international students who want to begin their college studies here before transferring to a four-year college or university. Edmonds students have successfully transferred to schools all over the United States, and beyond. I have earned college degrees in sociology and physical therapy from Franklin College and the University of Evansville, both in Indiana. “I grew up in Seoul and earned my bachelor's degree at SNU in Seoul, Korea. I came to the U.S. about 17 years ago. Since then, I have met lots of people from around the world and worked in the Korean community for seven years. These experiences taught me how to help people navigate their unique situations in various ways. I am proud to be a member of the OIP team, where I can be a bridge between Edmonds College and the international students who are ready to start pursuing their dreams in the U.S.”

"I came to the U.S. as an international student to earn a bachelor's degree in international business from the University of Washington. I’m fortunate that an American education helped me realize my passion for international education. After serving students for over a decade as an international student academic and immigration advisor, an instructor, and an entrepreneur, I also completed my master's degree in higher education and joined OIP at Edmonds College. Here we not only provide excellent education, we also build long-term relationships with our students. When students arrive in the U.S. and encounter any problems in life, we are here for them as advisors and mentors. I can’t express how excited I am to be part of the OIP family at Edmonds College, and I can’t wait to see our students’ smiles on campus and around the world."
