The work of this classification involves maintenance of park, golf, ball field and associated City-owned boulevards, right of way, lawns, grounds and other recreational areas. Additionally, the work of this class involves outdoor operation of a variety of general and specialized grounds maintenance equipment and shop work associated with repair, maintenance and refurbishing of specialized equipment. Employees may also plan, design and implement irrigation and drainage installation and/or small scale construction projects, e.g., foot bridges, paths or shelters and, train and direct the work of Park/Golf Laborers, General Laborers, seasonal day laborers, community service workers and volunteers by providing specific instructions for tasks to be completed. The work also involves responsibility for observation, recording and repairing of damage to City property and grounds; additionally, performs related tasks as required.

Program Assistant III-International Programs
Coordinate admissions activity and monitoring with the Dean and Assistant Director. Distribute and follow through daily on several diagnostic reports related to student admissions. Handle the quarterly enrollment of international students into health care plan and process invoice for payment. Coordinate and process admission documents to confirm receipt and authenticity. Assist the office in maintaining adequate records for all foreseeable audit purposes in line with both federal and state guidelines, and office procedures. Work to uphold compliance with FERPA, SEVP regulation, internal controls, student records database security and access, and security of all student records. Coordinate running and distributing various jobs and reports from TargetX and/or ctcLink. Clear understanding of professional admissions standards, in line with bodies such as NAFSA and NACAC. The individual in this position should understand and be able to apply the above listed principles to a variety of concerns and decisions that need to be made on daily operations. Independent decision-making based on sound judgment is required. Supervision is general, with the person exhibiting routine self-motivation and consistently reliable follow-through on all tasks. Supervisor does review results of this position’s projects.
The person is responsible to help ensure that all actions taken on student records are documented clearly to the expected standard, namely that at any time in the future, it will be clear what action was taken, why, when, and by whom, along with any other details. This position may assign or direct work activities of employees of lower classification; determine priorities as necessary and check processes and completed work for accuracy. Review admission applications and confirm all required documentation has been submitted. Respond to and track inquiries. Provide admission and inquiry management support to International Programs and Global Education using independent judgment; interpret and apply rules and procedures in specialized enrollment functions. Accumulate specialized enrollment data from source documents and verify for accuracy. Prepare admissions and enrollment analysis reports as required. Input data and maintain information in software and technology systems and applications appropriate to the operations and service delivery. Work is normally performed under general supervision. This position reports to the Dean of International Programs and Global Education.
