The Housing and Residence Life Office is located on the first floor of Rainier Place, accessible from the west entrance of the building.

Mon.-Thurs. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Fri. 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

RAs on-call sitting at the front desk after office hours do not perform the same tasks as daytime staff (packages, ...)

Own a car? Guests coming to visit?

• Students must have a College Permit to park on campus and a Housing Tab to park in Residence Hall parking.
• You can get your Housing Tab from the front desk at the Housing Office in Rainier Place.
• You must get a guest permit from the Security Office or the Housing Office.
• You can get that process started right when you move-in!
• Make sure when you arrive and check-in that you are signing-up your car and getting your Housing Tab. 

Your guests may park in our residential parking lots, but they must first receive a Guest Parking Pass from the Housing office, which is only given out to residents upon request during business hours (M-Th 9am-5pm and F 9am-12pm), so residents seeking a Guest Parking Pass must come to the front desk in Rainier Place before the office closes. To receive a Guest Parking Pass, residents must let Housing staff know how long the guest(s) will be staying and must also tell staff the guest’s vehicle information (license plate state & number, make, and model). Guest Parking Passes are only valid for up to two days or, if over a weekend, from Friday to Monday at most.

Students must not copy or give their mailbox keys to anybody for any reason. Replacement keys are $150.

Rainier Place: Mailboxes are near the elevators inside the north entrance. Packages are delivered to the front desk during Office Hours.. If you have a package delivered during Office Hours, you will receive an email from the office with information about how to claim your package.

Triton Court: Each apartment shares one mailbox key. Keep the mailbox key on the designated hook by the front door to avoid losing the key and/or being charged. Mailboxes are near the elevators inside the main entrance. Packages are delivered to Amazon boxes and you should receive an email from Amazon (if after hours, they should call you).

If you are a domestic or international Edmonds College and CWU-Lynnwood student, you may be eligible to apply to work for Housing and Residence Life. Employment may also be open to you if you are an international student on OPT  (Optional Practical Training) status. The most common student positions are either Resident Assistant or International Mentor. We occasionally hire part-time hourly employees, such as a front desk and office assistants.

• You may choose to live in an off-campus apartment by yourself or with roommates. There are many choices within walking distance of the college.
• Most apartments are not furnished. After arrival, you must purchase all food, dishes, linens, and furniture.
• Housing and Residence Life suggests that if you are a new student, you stay with a host family or in the residence hall for at least your first academic quarter to get familiar with the community. If you choose to live in a residence hall, you sign a lease and may only move out after that lease ends.

Cocoon House is a third-party housing option for homeless young people ages 12-17 years old.
