Submit your completed application by 11:59 PM on March 23. Remember, no late applications will be accepted.

Once the application has closed, we begin the review process. Every application is scored against the rubric by three volunteers from the college and the community. The sections of your application that are visible to reviewers are:

• Your Academic Reflection essay
• The Financial Need section
• All five Planning for the Future essays

The review period lasts about a month, but may be longer depending on how many applicants there are.

After all of the applications are scored, we start making awards based on your score, qualifications, and dollar amount of scholarships. This process takes two to three weeks. Once all of our scholarships have been awarded, we will send an email to all students saying whether or not you have received an award.

Once you have received an email from us saying that you have been selected for an award, you will need to fill out the following forms:

• Scholarship Agreement
• Relationship Disclosure
• Media Release
• Thank you letter

You can download instructions on how to access and upload these documents. Please include your last name in the file name when you upload.

Refer to your award notification or AwardSpring for the due date. If you do not return your forms by the deadline, you will forfeit your scholarship.

Once we have received all of your paperwork, we send the information to the Financial Aid office. Your scholarship is then added to your aid package, so you will be able to see it in the Financial Aid tile of ctcLink. This process can take several weeks, so please be patient.

Generally, we disburse funds equally across all quarters. If you plan to take Summer classes, it's wise to get your paperwork in as soon as possible so you can have funds for that quarter. If you are not enrolled in Summer quarter when Financial Aid is recording awards, your funds will be awarded for Fall, Winter, and Spring.

If you need all/more of your funds disbursed in one particular quarter, please email us. 

Funds are released on or after the 10th day of the quarter, after schedules have been finalized. Don't worry - Financial Aid will put a hold on your account, so you will not be dropped from your classes for non-payment. Your award is first applied to tuition and fees; any remaining money can be sent to you directly with BankMobile Disbursements.
