Running Start

Tuition-Free College Credits for High School Juniors and Seniors



Running Start is a statewide program that allows high school juniors and seniors to take college-level courses without paying tuition. Students receive both high school and college credit for classes completed at the college level.

Running Start is for ALL juniors and seniors. We turn no one away. Regardless of your English placement or GPA, you can participate. Enroll in the program, and we will help you find classes to take that are a good match for you.

Summer Running Start is for you, if:

  • You’re a 2022 graduate and are less than 15 credits away from earning an associate degree.
  • You lost credits and opportunities due to the pandemic and are eager to catch up.
  • You want to explore and experience college.
