  • Why is that important?  Shaping Pathways from Community College to Medical School: Examining the Validating Perspectives 
• Edmonds College gives credit for prior learning and allows students to challenge courses with knowledge they already have. This can help increase your undergraduate GPA quickly. (Do not use this for prerequisite science courses and be sure to talk to an advisor. )
• Science Prerequisites-For an additional one credit we offer support courses for our more challenging science courses. Some schools require Chem&121 prior to taking the biology series, we do not. 

Everyone!

Every school has the same courses, but each varies slightly on what they feel is needed prior to starting the required prerequisites. While students typically only need a 2.0 to take the next course, graduate programs typically require at least a 2.7

Yes, this is for anyone within 2 years of applying.

When you are a part of the program you have access to mentors and guest speakers. As well as a Discord server where we share information on guest speakers, upcoming workshops , extracurricular activities and scholarships. 

We are close to finalizing-stay tuned. 

As long as you need. Most students are here for 1-2 years.

Yes. It will include information about the soft skills you gained as well as touching on the question all graduate programs ask “does the applicant know what they are getting into?"

The extracurriculars you pick and what you say about them in your application says a lot about you. Edmonds has contacts in the community and can help you understand what ones you should pursue and why.

• Make sure what is on the school website is a true depiction of the current staff and science courses.
• Ask the availability advisors, when to expect a reply, and how easy is it to schedule an appointment.? Who are the advisors? 
• Are there mentoring, networking or volunteer opportunities? 
  Is the structure and scheduling flexible? Can you attend full or part-time?  
• How long will it take you to complete the program? 
• Is there any assistance with MCAT preparation? Such as study groups discounts on materials or proctored practice exams? 
• Is there a certificate and what does it consist of?  Does it give details of what you accomplished in the program?
