By earning a professional-technical certificate or degree through Running Start, you could start a career right after high school — and save thousands of dollars on your college education.

What are professional-technical programs?

Professional-technical programs emphasize practical skills and prepare you to go straight to work. You can choose from various fields, including health care, business, manufacturing, hospitality, and visual communications.

How long will it take to finish my program?

You can finish a certificate in as little as 12 weeks and an associate degree in two years. You can also get your start toward a four-year Bachelor of Applied Science degree and finish after high school.

What careers could I pursue?

There are a variety of different fields you can pursue through the Running Start program. These degrees are designed to give you skills that move you directly into the workforce.
